LOA Is Changing In 2027

Lights Over America Enters a New Era: The Next Chapter Begins

Since 2020, Lights Over America has been known for creating unforgettable sky lantern festival experiences — bringing people together under glowing skies, creating memories, and building a brand centered around light, wonder, and celebration.

But from the beginning, Lights Over America was never intended to be a forever lantern festival.

The original vision was to operate the sky lantern festival concept for five years and then evolve the brand into something much bigger.

That time has now arrived.

A New Chapter for Lights Over America

As we look toward 2027, Lights Over America is transforming from a single-event lantern festival brand into an event production company focused on creating a diverse collection of unique experiences and festivals.

That means the Lights Over America you’ve known is entering a new era.

Our legacy sky lantern festivals will gradually be retired at the end of 2026, making room for new concepts, new experiences, and entirely new ways to bring people together. Our regular sky lanterns have gone over to Glow Lantern Festival and our Fairytale Tangled Experience is going over to Light The Night

While lanterns have been an important part of our story, they were always just the beginning.

Retiring a Legacy

Change is never easy, especially when an event becomes part of people’s memories.

Our lantern festivals have given us the opportunity to create magical evenings filled with glowing lights, music, family, friends, and moments people will remember for years to come.

We’re incredibly proud of that chapter.

But great event brands have to evolve.

Rather than continuing to produce the same festival year after year, we’re choosing to take everything we’ve learned over the past five years and use it to build something new.

2027 will mark the beginning of that transformation.

Introducing the Next Generation of Events

As an event production company, Lights Over America will begin introducing several new events and festival concepts for 2027.

These won’t simply be replacements for our lantern festivals.

They will be new experiences designed from the ground up — with new themes, new formats, new entertainment, and new ways for audiences to participate.

Some may be familiar.

Others may be completely unexpected.

But they will all share the same philosophy that has guided Lights Over America from the beginning:

Create experiences people want to remember.

The Festival Year of 2027

We’re calling 2027 the beginning of our next festival era.

It will be a year of experimentation, creativity, and new ideas as Lights Over America expands its role in the event industry.

The lantern festivals may be retiring, but the creativity behind them isn’t going anywhere.

In fact, we’re just getting started.

New events. New experiences. A new direction.

And we’re excited to show you what’s next.

Stay Tuned

We’re not revealing everything just yet.

Throughout the coming months, we’ll begin announcing what’s coming for 2027, including new event concepts, festival locations, experiences, and more.

So if you’ve followed Lights Over America over the years, stay with us.

The next chapter is about to begin.
