Be a princess for a day and live the lantern scene from the Disney movie Tangled when you purchase our Tangled VIP Package. Enjoy the festival on land, then closer to the lantern release, take a row boat out into the water to release your lantern, and your wishes for the future. VIP Packages are limited so secure yours before they’re sold out. Package includes admission for two, 1 sky lantern, 1 Water Lantern, fire pit, S’mores for two, use of row boat, and photo’s.

Lights Over America is a strictly private event. It is not open to the general public. Attendance is granted only to individuals who are either:
Personally invited by Lights Over America staff, or
Formally approved through our mandatory registration and screening process.
As part of our event security policy, the following conditions must be met:
Each attendee must fully complete their own registration form with accurate, current, and truthful information.
No one may register on behalf of another person. Every individual must submit and sign their own form personally.
Security Enforcement – Zero Tolerance
Anyone found to be:
Submitting incomplete, false, or fraudulent information
Registering guests without listing them
Failing to disclose accompanying attendees
Falsifying guest names or identities
Circumventing any part of the registration process
…will be denied the event location, immediately disqualified from attending, and permanently banned from all future Lights Over America events.
We do not tolerate any attempts to bypass or manipulate the registration system. These rules exist to protect the safety, integrity, and privacy of our attendees.
Location details are only provided to verified and approved registrants. No exceptions.
IMPORTANT: Event Packet Delivery & Registration Policy
Event check-in packets are shipped via overnight mail and will arrive the night before the event. These packets contain all essential materials and instructions required for entry and check-in.
🔒 Registration is mandatory.
You must complete the official registration form to receive your packet and to be admitted to the event. Failure to do so will result in the denial of your entry.
🚫 No address forwarding is permitted.
If your packet is returned for any reason, it will not be re-shipped.
Delivery requires The Attendees signature and valid REAL ID to confirm receipt. Others cannot sign for you.
⚠️ False or incomplete information submitted during registration is a violation of our security policy.
This will result in the revocation of your entry and denial of access to the event location—without refund.

Each adult attendee gets one free sky lantern.
We’ve designed a new type of sky lantern that may be available to purchase at the event. official release date for those are 2025 but may be October. Watch for easter eggs on our instagram.

“To prioritize safety and preserve the distinctive atmosphere of LOA, the festival is now strictly for attendees aged 25 and older. Entry is limited to those who meet this age requirement.”
“Proposals are exclusively permitted with a Tangled Package ONLY. Any attempts to bypass this policy will be promptly stopped to ensure the safety and experience remains respectful and enjoyable for all.
“For the 2025 season, Tangled Packages are offered exclusively at select locations. Proposals are strictly prohibited at any event where a Tangled Package is not available.”
Some of our event locations do allow pets, but not all. If a location has a Paw Ticket then one pet is allowed.
Pets MUST be leashed at all times, and not on a retractable leash, and wearing a harness not just a collar. You must not walk away from your pet at anytime.
Paw tickets are limited as you will be placed in an area just for attendees with pets away from the music and stage.
Revenue for Paw Tickets go directly to helping pet parents buy pet food and other needed supplies.
Lights Over America is one of few lantern festivals that has a wide range of fire pit options from regular large fire pits to small pocket size you can take home.

Lights Over America’s Sky Lanterns Are Eco Friendly To Both Land And Sea.
Our Lanterns Are Made Of All Natural Products, Metal Free, And Also Flammable Liquid And Gas Free Materials.
Lantern Materials; Rice Paper, A Bamboo Ring, Natural Fiber (hemp) String, And A Bee’s Wax Cake Fuel Cell.
Clean Up; We have a “No Lantern Left Behind Policy”, we have our cleanup team stationed out in the landing zone ready to collect every lantern as they begin to descend.
We track our lanterns flight with 4 Mavic 3T Enterprise Drones, so we know exactly where every lantern flies and lands. We hold a trial run before the event date to test and determine where the lanterns will land. More Information found here

No, we do not offer late entry or at-the-gate ticket sales. All admissions are first-come, first-served, and entry is only guaranteed with a pre-purchased ticket.
To ensure you don’t miss out on this magical experience, we strongly recommend securing your spots early, as tickets often sell out in advance. Once capacity is reached, no additional entries will be permitted—even for ticket holders arriving late.

Proposals are only allowed at tangled events with a tangled package.
We closely monitor weather conditions leading up to and throughout the event to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests. Because sky lanterns require calm, dry conditions to be released safely, and legally we may delay, modify, or reschedule the lantern festival in the event of high winds, heavy rain, or fire safety concerns. Yes! Our lanterns are 100% biodegradable, wire-free, and designed for safe use.
Our Lanterns are made with;
Tickets are non-refundable. If you can no longer attend, you may use them at a later date or sell your ticket to someone else through the Fan2Fan Network, or through our social media website attached to our website. In the event of a weather postponement, all tickets will automatically transfer to the rescheduled date, providing you completed the registration process.
NO!!!!! Sky Lanterns CANNOT be released within city limits unless the city requests we hold a release for them, which has been never! Our festivals are held on large private land where our lanterns do no fly off of so no permit is needed.

I went with a small group of friends, and we were honestly speechless during the lantern launch. So calm, so moving. It felt like a moment to let go of some things and start fresh. The whole event was super organized, and the little details really added to the atmosphere.
